You are seeking to live life to the fullest,
To completely enjoy each day that God gives,
But breakthroughs in our Christian walk,
Seldom comes when all is going smoothly.
God seems to choose your dark times,
The problems, pains, and temptations,
Through those sufferings and disappointments,
He invades the struggles of your daily walk.
Laboring under trials and tribulations,
Place your trembling hand in God’s hand,
The very situations that causes the most anguish,
In His light become treasured memories.
God is now reaching out to you,
In your places of weakness and strain,
You’ll find your humble afflictions are dignified,
By His immeasurable grace.

I can say that I have experienced the truth of this poem a couple of times in my life… the most recent time was the most life changing time. I thank God for the good and the bad… though it is hard, the result of the pain is worth every tear. God help us!
On another completely different note… thank you for your son. Thank you for raising P. Chilly to love God and serve Him with all of his heart. I think to myself many times…”where would I be if it weren’t for the strong leader that God has placed in my life?” Not everyone has what I have…. and I have it as a result of God’s grace and your example in P. Chilly’s life. So, I just wanted to say Thank you. I think you are awesome.
Dad, this is beautiful, powerful, and so Dad-full. I love you, Dad!
